DNAK App Privacy Policy

The DNAK App (published on Google Play as “DNAK Cycling – Indoor Training”, package com.dnakcycling.dnakcyclingapp), developed by Dynamic Cycling, S.L. (“DNAK Cycling”), is a training app for indoor cycling with DNAK simulators and compatible Bluetooth sensors.

Summary

  • No user account or registration is required.
  • Your training data stays on your device. DNAK Cycling does not collect it on its servers.
  • We do not sell data or share it with advertising networks, data brokers or analytics services.

Data processed on your device

To provide its features, the app processes the following data locally on your device only:

  • Rider profiles: the names and settings you enter for each rider (for example FTP or preferred units).
  • Training data: power, cadence, speed, heart rate and resistance recorded during your sessions, your workout library, the workouts you create and your activity history.
  • Device identifiers: Bluetooth identifiers of your trainer, sensors and remote controls, used only to find, pair and reconnect to them.
  • Preferences: language, button mapping of your remote control and other app settings.

Heart rate is health-related data. It is only processed on your device to show it during the session and save it in your history.

When data leaves your device

Data only leaves your device when you decide to do so, for example when you export an activity as a .FIT file or create a backup and share it with another app or service of your choice (Strava, Garmin Connect, email, cloud storage…). From that moment, the processing of that file is governed by the privacy policy of the service you choose.

Storage, retention and deletion

  • Profiles, history and settings are kept on your device until you delete them.
  • You can delete activities, workouts and profiles at any time from within the app.
  • Uninstalling the app deletes all data stored by the app on the device, subject to your device’s own backup settings.

Device permissions

The app only requests the permissions it needs to work:

  • Bluetooth: to find and connect to your DNAK simulator, smart trainers, power meters, heart rate monitors, cadence sensors and remote controls.
  • Location (older Android versions only): some Android versions require it to scan for Bluetooth devices. The app does not use it to determine or track your location.
  • Foreground service / notifications: to keep recording your session when the screen is locked or you switch to another app.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because DNAK Cycling does not receive your training data, it is under your control on your device. For any request regarding personal data you can contact us at the address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or in the law. Updates will be published at this same address with a new effective date.
